Prevention Maine
What we've done
Prevention Maine is an educational website run by the Maine Center for Disease Control. Its purpose is to provide support, resources, and tools for the Maine community in an effort to prevent and manage alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and substance abuse.
With the creative direction already handled, we developed a custom WordPress theme according to precise design specifications. The goal was to create a website that was engaging to a Maine audience while being accessible to urban and rural users alike. Page load had to be well optimized, while also conforming to WCAG 2.0 Level AA Accessibility Guidelines. Visitors can also self-identify the content specifically geared toward them via color-coded pages. What a great way to begin our partnership with a Maine-based design agency!
