Instagram Is Now On Hootsuite: Schedule, Post & Manage Your Photos

Earlier this week, Hootsuite, a social media management system, announced that Instagram can now be added to the Hootsuite dashboard. This allows users to post and schedule Instagram photos through the social platform. Hootsuite makes life easy for brand and marketing managers, as you can manage all major social networking platforms in one dashboard or app, making it easy for those who post to multiple networks.

Instagram is an online mobile and video sharing social networking service, which launched in 2010, and now has over 300 million users accessing the site per month, and that number seems to be growing. Instagram is quickly becoming on of the most powerful social media platforms and for good reason. You can find just about anyone on Instagram, inlcuding teenagers, major corporations, artists, celebrities and even animals. Yes it’s true, some people even have Instagram accounts for their dogs. Instagram allows users to post photos, add optional digital filters, and add text such as a photo description, or a hashtag. Posts vary, depending on the user, and many can be artistic, funny, inspirational, informative, or just down right silly. You can make it your own, and give your business a voice through powerful photos.

Being able to add Instagram to the Hootsuite dashboard now gives you the option to type your photo captions on a regular keyboard, instead of the tiny keyboard you have on your smartphone. However, don’t get rid of your cell phone just yet, you still need it around when the time comes to actually publish your photo. This will allow you to get your photo ready to post through the Hootsuite dashboard or app. Instagram announced that when your post is ready to be sent out, you will receive a push notification from the Hootsuite app, that directs you to the Notification Center. You then have the ability to tap the post, and then open the Instagram app to push. It’s not the most streamlined process, but it sure is helpful.

Are you on Instagram? If you aren’t you should seriously consider one for your business or personal use. It’s a great way to brand your business or yourself, and connect with the power of a photo. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words, right? Maybe your next post will get 1,000 likes! Here’s to wishful thinking and smart marketing!
