Fun Facts About Shea

I guess I have two. One of my most useless hidden talents is being able to identify a song I know usually within the first five seconds of hearing it. For whatever reason, I seem to have excellent auditory memory when it comes to music. My second hidden talent is less useless. My first full time job in college was actually as a professional sugar cookie decorator at a bakery. I like to think of myself as a fairly creative person, so being able to do custom sugar cookie orders and designs was super fun.

I have a mild case of grapheme-color synesthesia, which means I associate colors with numbers and letters. I know it sounds fake, but I promise it’s not. It’s the most common type of synesthesia, and apparently only a small percentage of the population has this random sensory trait. I never had a name for it until I read a book in middle school called “A Mango Shaped Space”, which was also about a girl who had synesthesia. My party trick is now being able to tell people what color their name is.

Three is too much of a stretch. Please enjoy these ten.
