Jude Connally, a women’s clothing brand headquartered in New Jersey, emerged from the visionary mind of its founder, Jude Connally Zimmerman herself. Driven by the desire to address a void she recognized in the fashion industry, she created a brand for women centered around style, affordability, comfort, and practicality. Each garment is thoughtfully crafted in the United States using fabrics that prioritize ease of wear. Above all else, Jude Connally’s ultimate mission is to empower women to radiate confidence and embrace life’s every moment, irrespective of the occasion at hand.

The Challenge
While Jude Connally was comfortable in their old Shopify theme, they wanted to elevate their design to better convey their brand and lifestyle, while providing a more frictionless shopping experience for their high-end users. This would need to be accomplished by adding in custom features and functionality across the site. Jude Connally also wanted to provide their team with greater control and flexibility while managing and editing all parts of their online storefront, starting with utilizing a Shopify 2.0 template to re-theme the site.
Our Approach
To achieve each of these goals, we built the Jude Connally team a highly-customized Shopify 2.0 theme, which leverages a combination of custom coding, apps and Shopify 2.0’s native metafields functionality throughout the page templates. Highlights include the filtering by custom badges and color functionality on the category pages, the inclusion of swatches on product pages, and the implementation of an “out of stock” email popup. Combined with a sitemap optimized for merchandising and shopping, this new storefront provides Jude Connally’s customers with an improved user experience, ultimately streamlining the conversion process.
