Fun Facts About Kristina

I love Halloween and tend to go all out, trying to outdo my costume from the previous year. I think I’m making up for a childhood of sad, DIY outfits, having to always get creative by recycling a single, black cape and cheap face paint. Growing up for four consecutive years, I was a vampire, a witch (twice), and a magician with the only discerning feature to tell what I was being a simple prop: pointy teeth, a hat, and a wand.

The best costume as an adult was when I was Zuul. I love Ghostbusters and Sigoureny Weaver is my hero. I even won a cash prize for it!

Not a single damn thing. I wouldn’t be where I was today if I took shortcuts through the awkward, heartbreaking, terrible, scary, embarrassing, and confusing moments of growing up. Nor would I know when to pause to appreciate and savor the times when I truly feel joy, even if it is brief and fleeting.

I don’t even want to entertain this question with an answer. We all know where raisins belong…in the trash.
