Arts for Learning Connecticut

What we've done

Arts for Learning Connecticut is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire and expand the education of children through the arts. Centered around a culture of inclusivity and positive values, Arts for Learning Connecticut fosters creativity and cultural awareness through its programs and visiting artists. Its goal is to enrich the lives of the children in Connecticut by providing them with the opportunity to partake in arts learning through both their schools and communities.

Arts for Learning Connecticut wanted an overhaul of their current FastSpring website to improve presentation and experience for users, as well as to simplify the editing process for website admins. This new website also had to be easily navigable for school administrators, parents, donors, and collaborators, so that Arts for Learning Connecticut’s mission could be clearly understood by all users.

We re-platformed Arts for Learning Connecticut’s old FastSpring website to WordPress and built out the new website with a WCAG 2.1 AA conforming front-end theme to make it accessible for everyone. We opted for a clean front-end design, complete with a simplified site map and advanced search and filter abilities on specific pages. Finally, we used Gravity Forms and Salesforce’s CRM integration to update the Programming Inquiries and On-Site Donation forms for efficiency and improved user experience.

We could not be happier with Bytes’ work on our website project. Kristina and her team were creative, professional, and patient. They stuck by us throughout a process that ended up being longer than any of us had expected, and did a great job collaborating with a number of stakeholders (including other technical providers and developers), offering leadership when needed and simply going with the flow at other times. We’re thrilled with how our project turned out, and highly recommend Bytes to any organization in need of web development.
