Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Stave Puzzles originally approached us in Quarter 4 of 2022 to improve their website’s search engine optimization (SEO) and accessibility. Specifically, they wanted to ensure all their product and category pages had customized meta titles, descriptions, alt text, and optimized on-page paragraph content. For tracking keyword rankings, we targeted keywords related to the categories we would be optimizing for, including puzzle types, occasions, and themes, as well as broader keywords such as “puzzles for adults,” “wooden jigsaw puzzles,” and “handmade puzzles.”

Our SEO efforts centered on crafting keyword-rich yet reader-friendly content to enhance organic visibility for Stave Puzzles’ core niches while also ensuring accessibility best practices were met. Comparing quarterly numbers year over year, we’ve seen a substantial increase in organic traffic, transactions, and keyword rankings as a result of these efforts, particularly on optimized product and category pages – even outranking Amazon on searches for specific puzzle types. Stave Puzzles has also gained multiple new SERP features, primarily in the form of sitelinks and reviews in Google Search results.
