Colin is a developer focusing on custom projects at Bytes. Colin has been a member of the Bytes team since 2021. He enjoys finding elegant solutions to complicated problems.

Having developed websites professionally since 2012, he’s worked with clients such as Vermont Public Radio, the Vermont State Legislature, political action committees, political campaigns and startups.  Always building something, Colin recently took a break from web development to work with heavy equipment for a few years designing, importing and installing excavator attachments. He’s excited to be back to coding and working indoors during the Vermont winter.

Colin grew up in East Hampton, Connecticut and moved to Vermont in 2010. From 2015 – 2020 he established an off-grid homestead in the foothills of Camel’s Hump and lived there in a yurt.  Although he’s thoroughly enjoying being back on the grid he still misses having ducks, chicken and sheep.

When he’s not building websites, you may find Colin developing a video game, making music, 3d printing or relaxing with his partner Ellen, dog Bash and cats TK, Raja and Charlie.

Fun Facts About Colin

I collect coins, my grandfather introduced me to coin collecting as a child. I love paying close attention to everyday objects and the connection to history.

Contracting rabies, which in retrospect makes living in a yurt in the woods an odd choice.

Phantasmagorical – fun to say, fun to write – what more could you ask for?
