What we've done
As a retailer and manufacturer of maple syrup based energy products, UnTapped is revolutionizing the world of sports nutrition. Founded in 2013 by a professional cyclist and a family of professional skiers, UnTapped was born out of a common love of maple syrup and the mission to find a healthier alternative to traditional sports nutrition. Currently headquartered in Williston, Vermont, UnTapped has grown rapidly over the years and now offers a wide variety of maple based energy products, including energy gels, waffles, and drink mixes.
The UnTapped team wanted to upgrade their existing BigCommerce website to create a better purchasing experience for both their consumer and wholesale customers. This improved experience would also be complemented by a more streamlined sitemap and additional content focused around athletes. All site users would ideally be able to engage with the brand, and leave the website with a thorough understanding of UnTapped’s mission. Given these desires, we recommended using WordPress and WooCommerce as the content management system (CMS) for the new website.
UnTapped’s new WordPress website caters to both of its customer bases, and is also easy to use from an administrative standpoint. We built their new website with a clean front end design reflective of their product packaging and brand guidelines, as well as with point of purchase best practices for customers’ ease. We also had a special focus on the wholesale side of the website, making sure that the UnTapped team would be able to easily track inventory while being able to offer discounts to their wholesale customers. Finally, we helped to improve their sitemap content by building out pages to feature more athlete profiles and stories.
